How do you remove tar, sealer, and asphalt? That’s easy: Use Oil-Flo Safety Solvent. You could try paint thinners, diesel, kerosene or some other chemical, but they all leave a residue and can be pretty harmful to you and your environment, not to mention what they could do to your tools and equipment.
Application Easy as 1-2-3:
1. Apply Oil-Flo
2. Agitate until clean
3. Rinse with water
Even though Oil-Flo is in a class by itself, the best reason to use it is that you can use it on any surface. Vehicles, clothes, concrete, virtually anything that isn’t made with oil or oil-based. When we take Oil-Flo to our trade shows, we hand out these little one-ounce trial-size bottles, and we run out pretty quickly every time!

Removing tar, sealer and asphalt with such an efficient solution as Oil-Flo really does remove all the stress associated with this ‘permanent’ problem. Spills, accidents, line breaks, and straight up mistakes can make using tar based products a real pain. But Oil-Flo takes that away. Just apply, agitate, and rinse it with water. Problem solved! Works on oil, grease, paint, marker, tape residue, and loads more.
How can you remove tar, sealer, and asphalt from any surface?

What’s happening is that Oil-Flo makes a covalent bond with the tar, sealer, or asphalt. In that state, the problem has been turned from a solid to a liquid (E-Mulsified!). If you clean it up with a rag at this stage you’ll notice that it’s not very easy to do. BUT, if you rinse it clean with water, Oil-Flo makes another bond, this time an ionic bond, to the water. It literally becomes dirty water. And nothing’s easier to cleanup than water!
Oil-Flo removes the stress of working with tar based products.
You see, you can’t make a problem stain disappear, you can only move it from where you don’t want it to where you do. Oil-Flo does that for you. Imagine going to work tomorrow with equipment and tools that look new again? Get all the sealer out of your work clothes, and off your equipment, off the tanks, trucks and out of your life.
