IWCA 2020 Roundup

March 3, 2020 By Titan Labs Leave a Comment

One of our favorite things we do each year is attend the International Window Cleaners Association trade show.  This year we enjoyed historic Savannah Georgia as we exhibited on the banks of the Savannah River.  That was nice, but the really nice thing about this show is that we get to see so many of our distributor friends as well as meet the many end-users of our window cleaning solutions.  And we get to say thanks to all that showed up to support the IWCA – and our unique products!

Direct feedback is something that we crave and this show provides that for us.  Hearing from users allows us to answer questions, develop and or improve products and see what types of opportunities may exist.  Window cleaners are some great story tellers and much of the time spent at the show is just fun casual conversation.  As a novice window cleaner, watching the speed and medley contests is also eye opening.  These window cleaners are good!

Our booth in Savannah – IWCA 2020

We were a year early on our giveaway items (poker chips) as we learned next year will be in Vegas!

So Much Value!

A bunch of window cleaners in Vegas?  What could possibly go wrong!

Looking forward to finding out!

Thanks to all that showed up to support the IWCA and will see you next year. Visit www.TitanLabs.net for more information.

Another Successful National Paving Expo!

February 25, 2020 By Titan Labs 2 Comments

Here in the far reaches of the Lab, we’ve finally settled back in from the annual National Paving Expo in Nashville, TN, held just a block from Broadway in Music City USA. So MUCH FUN!!!

Broadway At Night, Nashville, TN

First, thanks to all of the good folks that took the time to stop and talk to us! Second, allow us remind you of our main message this year:

As the internet becomes more and more a part of how we expand our reach, our distributors can offer the 5-gallon pails and the 55-gallon drums of our products, but don’t need to stock them. We’re getting the word out that not only do we have all the free marketing materials necessary, but we’ll drop ship these items for you – anywhere in the world!

Jamie Smith and Alan Noah at NPE 2020, Nashville TN

Everybody knows that if you buy in bulk you get a better price by volume. And that’s true for our products too. You can save anywhere from 8 to 12% when buying in bulk. And we also offer 275-gallon totes! (These aren’t stock items so they take a day or two, but the savings is even greater!)

Here are some great quotes we heard during this year’s show:

“You guys make the best product in the industry! I can’t believe how many times we’ve used your product to save our bacon” – Howard B.

“How come nobody else makes a pro product like yours?” – Michael H.

“We use Oil-Flo every day.” – Tom C.

And lots more just like this! We brought and gave away over 100 sample bottles, commemorative poker chips, stickers, and more! Plus, we ran our demo what seems like a thousand times. Do you know the most common question we get year over year? “Can Oil-Flo take sealer off a garage door without harming it?” Answer: YES! And it’s easy!! Contact us or visit our videos page at www.TitanLabs.net to find out how.

If you haven’t tried it, consider giving Oil-Flo a chance. You can make old tools and tanks look new again and all you need is some water!  Oil-Flo does all the work for you. Contact us today for a free sample.

Apply Oil-Flo, Agitate & Rinse with Water!

So, big thanks again to all the friendly people that came to our booth!

See Ya Next Year!

Titan Labs’ Guide to Cleaning Eight of the Most Common Holiday Stains

December 17, 2019 By Titan Labs 2 Comments

Red Wine on the Carpet or Couch

This Holiday Season brings us a chance to show you how our unique products can be used for everyday spills and mistakes. Whether it’s the office party or a home get together, use this guide to keep everything looking and feeling great.

Should anyone accidentally spill a glass of red wine on your carpet or couch, don’t panic. While the stain is still wet, lightly blot the spot with a soft towel, preferably light colored, then cover the stain immediately with a layer of salt. In 15 minutes clean up the salt with either a vacuum cleaner or brush off into the trash can. Spot wash any remaining wine with water mixed with Titan Green™ Multipurpose Cleaner.

Titan Green Multipurpose Cleaner. Concentrated and can make up to 75 gallons of solution. Visit www.TitanLabs.net or call +1 800-475-3300 to learn more.

Grease on Your Apron or Shirt (or gloves, etc.)

Cooking anything greasy means possible grease stains on your Apron or shirt. You can remove the stain quickly and easily. First, soak the stained area immediately with a few good sprays of Titan Green Multipurpose Cleaner. After a few minutes, rub in a little Oil-Flo 141 Specialty Cleaner, and put the item into the washing machine right away. Before the item goes into the dryer, check that the stain is completely gone. If you still see it, lay the apron face-down on a towel, then pour Cleanup Solvent-22 through the back of the stain, and launder once more.

Chocolate or Syrup on the Dining Chairs

If a dropped (or thrown) piece of chocolate or a squirt of syrup lands on your dining room chair, remove the excess carefully (an old credit card or piece of card from the mail works great) since you don’t want to push the stain further into the fabric. Then, using a sprayer, spray some Cleanup Solvent-22 on the stain. (Great for carpets and fine upholstery, Cleanup Solvent-22 is a professional solution that you should keep around the home or office. Using a blotting technique (put a white towel over the stain and repeatedly hit with a rubber mallet or the bottom of your palm) soak up the solvent, and repeat this process until the stain is gone.

Cranberry Sauce on a Tablecloth or Napkins

Your cloth napkins will take a lot of abuse during a holiday meal, and some of the most stain-prone smears can be caused by that ubiquitous (means “a lot everywhere” – I had to look it up) cranberry sauce. Flush this stain with cool water on cloth as soon as dinner is over. Then, spray a good amount of Titan Green Multipurpose Cleaner (1:15 ratio) and add a tablespoon of white vinegar into a quart of cool water.  Wait 20 seconds for the Titan Green to do its thing, then soak the stain in the vinegar solution for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse it off to see your results. If the stain remains, spray with Titan Green and soak again, using the same vinegar mixture. Sometimes the makers of canned cranberry add a coloring agent (dye) that just won’t come out all the way no matter what you do. These tablecloths and napkins are for the kids table next year!

Gravy on the Tablecloth

Don’t be surprised to find a brown-tinged ring wherever the gravy boat sat on your tablecloth. If you can catch the spillage in action, use a cloth to remove as much of the excess gravy as you can, without rubbing it in. Later, spray the stains with Titan Green Multipurpose Cleaner, then wash either in your sink or washing machine with the hottest water you can get. If the stain remains, soak it in bleach water for 20 minutes, then either rinse in the sink or launder again.

Titan Green Multipurpose Cleaner

Butter on a Table Runner Cloth

Believe it or not, the best start to remove butter stains starts with a butter knife (a clean one).  Using the knife, scrape the excess off, and apply a good amount of Titan Green Multipurpose Cleaner directly to the stain. Wait about 30 seconds, then launder your cloth. Sometimes it helps to pre-treat the stain before laundering with a quick shot of Oil-Flo 141 Specialty Cleaner, and set the machine to the hottest water the fabric can stand. If the stain remains, try using Cleanup Solvent-22 and the afore described blotting action.

Coffee on the Carpet

Immediately blot up as much of the spill as possible. Spray the stain with Titan Green Multipurpose Cleaner, and let it dwell for about 10-20 seconds. Blot the remaining stain by placing a white towel over the stain and hit the stained area with a rubber mallet. Move the towel between hits with the mallet. This technique works best on carpet since every action has a reaction. By hitting down hard on the stain, it actually winds up sending the force of the mallet blow upwards into your towel.

Learn the cleaning secrets only the pros know! Get it cleaned and get it cleaned right with Titan Labs’ unique products.

Wax Drippings on the Tablecloth or carpet

If wax drippings have dropped and cooled on your tablecloth or carpet. Using a clean cloth, sparingly apply Oil-Flo 141 Specialty Cleaner to the dried wax and let it dwell for 10 minutes. Using something like a credit card, scraper, or putty knife, scrape up the wax. Oil-Flo 141 will make the dried wax let go of the cloth. Be careful when doing this to the carpet since you DON’T want to saturate the carpet down into the under-layment as it could cause de-lamination of the carpet. If you do accidentally saturate the carpet, simply soak the area with plain water and use a carpet cleaner or shop vac to pull the water out.

Oil Flo-141. Dissolves all kinds of adhesives. Rinse with water.

How Do I Remove Tar?

June 19, 2019 By Titan Labs 2 Comments

How do you remove tar, sealer, and asphalt? That’s easy: Use Oil-Flo Safety Solvent. You could try paint thinners, diesel, kerosene or some other chemical, but they all leave a residue and can be pretty harmful to you and your environment, not to mention what they could do to your tools and equipment.

Application Easy as 1-2-3:
1. Apply Oil-Flo
2. Agitate until clean
3. Rinse with water

Even though Oil-Flo is in a class by itself, the best reason to use it is that you can use it on any surface. Vehicles, clothes, concrete, virtually anything that isn’t made with oil or oil-based. When we take Oil-Flo to our trade shows, we hand out these little one-ounce trial-size bottles, and we run out pretty quickly every time!

Oil-Flo one ounce sample size bottle
Oil-Flo Sample

Removing tar, sealer and asphalt with such an efficient solution as Oil-Flo really does remove all the stress associated with this ‘permanent’ problem. Spills, accidents, line breaks, and straight up mistakes can make using tar based products a real pain. But Oil-Flo takes that away. Just apply, agitate, and rinse it with water. Problem solved! Works on oil, grease, paint, marker, tape residue, and loads more.

How can you remove tar, sealer, and asphalt from any surface?

Oil-Flo Safety Solvent in all sizes
Oil-Flo is available in pints, gallons, pails, and drums

What’s happening is that Oil-Flo makes a covalent bond with the tar, sealer, or asphalt. In that state, the problem has been turned from a solid to a liquid (E-Mulsified!). If you clean it up with a rag at this stage you’ll notice that it’s not very easy to do. BUT, if you rinse it clean with water, Oil-Flo makes another bond, this time an ionic bond, to the water. It literally becomes dirty water. And nothing’s easier to cleanup than water!

Oil-Flo removes the stress of working with tar based products.

You see, you can’t make a problem stain disappear, you can only move it from where you don’t want it to where you do. Oil-Flo does that for you. Imagine going to work tomorrow with equipment and tools that look new again? Get all the sealer out of your work clothes, and off your equipment, off the tanks, trucks and out of your life. But hey, don’t take my word for it, hop onto our website www.TitanLabs.net and ask for a free sample to try. Visit us on Facebook too. Just tell ’em Alan sent ya!

Blacktop Basics Newsletter .png file with Q & A regarding Oil-Flo Safety Solvent Cleaner from Titan Labs

Well received presentation posted in March 2019, discussing some of the problems Oil-Flo can solve. Here are some of the highlights:

Question:  I’ve got sealer on my clothes.  Can I use Oil-Flo™ on them?

Answer:  Yes, Oil-Flo will turn the sealer into water and leave the fabric undamaged. You can also use it on everything else too: shoes, gloves, tanks, washing machines and dryers too.  Just apply, agitate a little, then rinse with water or wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Question:  What about my hands?

Answer:  Yes, you can use Oil-Flo to clean your hands, but we’ve taken it a step further. We’ve added walnut shells for pumice, and lanolin for your skin – Hand Cleaner 38-A. Just put a small amount in your hands, spread it around and rinse with water. You’ll be surprised how fast and how well it cleans! Safe on all surfaces too.
