and 55 Gallon Drums

Oil-Flo Safety Solvent Cleaner. Non-volatile.  A specialized product for removing organic stains such as asphalt, tar, oils, tree pitch, adhesive stickers, gum, candle wax, silicon caulk, roof tar, oil, etc.  It is a versatile and effective cleaner that works especially great for removing graffiti.  Oil Flo is safely used on glass, vinyl, concrete, metals, carpets, and clothing. Oil Flo is the proven answer to cleaning asphalt, spills, overspray, equipment, clothes, concrete and lots more.

Oil-Flo Safety Solvent Cleaner will remove numerous organic stains, marks, and residues from glass and other hard surfaces. Oil-Flo is a unique water-soluble liquid that dissolves various hard-to-clean materials including crayon marks, adhesive residue (from tape, stickers and solar film, for example), window caulk, graffiti, permanent marker, oily films, and lots more. (Please note that Oil-Flo will not remove mineral deposits.)

Oil-Flo is water soluble and has slow evaporation. Once the contaminants are dissolved, they can be washed away cleanly with water leaving zero residue.

Oil-Flo is non-foaming, safe and very economical.  Oil-Flo is especially useful in paving and roofing applications, construction site cleanup, rehabilitated plants and buildings, around industrial and power generating stations, after vandal attacks and for removing solar window film residue; plus many other special situations involving difficult cleanup. It is essential for every window cleaner and film installer.

Applications
Oil-Flo has been proven useful in many applications because of the exceptional cleaning ability, water-soluble feature, and relatively high safety. You can use it to clean concrete of oil stains, remove rubber marks, chewing gum, tree pitch and more from walls, walkways, vehicles, tools etc. Remove adhesive residue and pressure sensitive tape residue from many surfaces, black marks from baseboards or walls. Hundreds of other uses. Contact your distributor or Titan Laboratories for application information on other uses for Oil-Flo.

Window Cleaning Directions
Apply Oil-Flo full strength by wiping some on with a rag, or by spraying. Special 16-ounce solvent-resistant trigger spray bottles are available. Or you can use a garden-type sprayer, which must be made of brass or stainless steel. (Plastic garden sprayers will not withstand the dissolving power of Oil-Flo.) Never spray in windy conditions nor higher than shoulder level to prevent the mist from getting into your eyes (unless wearing face protection including goggles.) Use fine steel wool, synthetic steel wool, a white scrub pad, plastic scraper or something similar, to speed the removal.

Once the contaminant is dissolved, wash the window with a bucket and squeegee (or wipe off first with a rag.) The water and strip washer or brush will get dirty quickly, because of the solvent residue from the Oil-Flo and the residue from the graffiti, wax, adhesive or whatever you just cleaned.

If cleaning many very dirty windows, you may want to use two buckets of cleaning water. The first is the "dirty bucket" for the first cleaning, and the other is the "clean bucket" for the final washing. Sometimes you will want 2 strip washers or brushes also.
On some jobs, you can first apply Oil-Flo and then do a preliminary cleaning with a pressure washer or concentrated spray from a garden hose. The window can then be cleaned with a bucket and squeegee. We recommend Glass Gleam 3TM Window Cleaning Concentrate.

Window Film Removal Directions
Remove the old solar window film face material by peeling it off, scraping it, or by applying some Oil-Flo and waiting until it migrates through the surface and becomes removable. Be especially careful not to damage automobile rear windows which have heater wires on them. Sometimes a heat gun is useful.

Apply Oil-Flo full strength, or by mixing 50-50 with water in an open container such as a bucket If you mix with water, prepare only as much as you will use at once.

Apply the Oil-Flo to the adhesive residue (full strength or the water mixture) with a sponge. You can also carefully spray the liquid on the window. Wait 2 or 3 minutes. Then scrape the residue with a razor or scraper. (Except car windows with heater wires.) Some installers prefer to spray the window with a water-soap solution just before stripping it of the adhesive residue. Finally, check that you removed all residue and reapply if needed.

Clean the window with your water-soap solution to prepare it for the new film.

Hints:
When working inside a car, clip a portable fan to the car window to blow fresh air to the work area. Do not work in a confined space without ventilation. Also, you can add some fragrance (sometimes called odor counteractant available from
janitorial distributors) to the 50-50 mix of Oil-Flo and water if you need a more pleasant smell, such as in restaurants

Material Cautions
Test first. Test for compatibility on non-glass surfaces, especially paint, plastics and natural stone.

Plastics. You can generally use Oil-Flo on unstressed acrylic (Plexiglass) , polyethylene, PVC, ABS and other thermosetting plastics. Do not use Oil-Flo on polycarbonate (Lexan) or on polystyrene, which will cloud the appearance or craze these two plastics. Because some plastic windows use either Plexiglass (which is OK if unstressed) or Lexan (not OK), you must test first, if possible, or do not use at all.

Window seals. Rinse or wipe off excess Oil-Flo promptly. Do not allow Oil-Flo to dissolve in-place window sealants. If Oil-Flo soaks into the space between the glass and the window frame, over time, it theoretically could dissolve the seal and allow moisture to enter double-pane windows which might fog them. This is highly unlikely because the Oil-Flo will dry out or be rinsed away with the wash water.

Used rags. Do not leave used rags on painted or other surfaces which can be damaged by the Oil-Flo residue in the rag.

Safety Cautions
Contains petroleum distillates and glycol ether EB. Do not take internally. If swallowed: do not induce vomiting, call a physician. If splashed in eyes: rinse with water for 10 or 15 minutes with the eyelids held open. Never spray in windy conditions nor higher than shoulder level to prevent eye contact, (unless suitable face and eye protection is worn). Avoid prolonged skin contact: Oil-Flo may dry the skin, in which case use a hand lotion. For extended use, neoprene or nitrile gloves are recommended. Work in a well-ventilated area: If working inside a vehicle or enclosed space, clip a portable fan to the window or entrance to make sure you have ventilation while working. If the vapors are inhaled for a prolonged time, drowsiness, nausea, lightheadedness or headaches may result. Remove promptly to fresh air. Product is combustible: Keep it away from heat and open flame. Keep Oil-Flo and all cleaning materials out of reach of children.
